Originally produced for the 1976 Bicentennial by the United States Capitol Historical Society and nominated for an Academy Award, this classic film utilizes old prints and photographs from the Society's archives, as well as footage of historic DC events such as Dr. King’s “I have a dream” speech. In addition, spectacular contemporary aerial shots of the mall area of Washington, D.C are included.
