This NPS-produced program tours Eisenhower National Historic Site, the Gettysburg home and farm Dwight and Mamie Eisenhower purchased in 1951. They planned to use it as a retirement home, but his election as President postponed that. The farm served as a retreat and “temporary White House” during his presidential years and later as their retirement home.
